The first event in the 2010 ISAF Sailing World Cup Series was held in Miami, in the Elliott 6m Olympic class. After a hard winter's training teams were keen to test themselves -- not least Lucy, Annie and Ally who set out in defence of their 2009 World Cup title.

Having won the inaugural event in 2008 crewing for Sally Barkow, Team Lucy Macgregor returned to Busan, S. Korea, in 2009 to take the title in their own right :)

Skandia Sail for Gold

The newly completed venue for the 2012 London Olympic Games was put to the test as the ISAF Sailing World Cup came to Weymouth. Many of the world's top teams were competing, keen to experience both the venue and the new Elliott 6m match racing boats.

2009 European Championships

Middelfart in Denmark hosted both the Men's and Women's European Championships, in DS37 and Match28 yachts respectively. Patience, endurance and drifting skills were definitely required for this one!

2009 World Championships

The Worlds in 2009 were held in Lysekil, Sweden, and contested in the six-person DS37 class yacht. Conditions varied from pleasant sunshine to stay-at-home gales!

Match Cup Sweden

Match Cup Sweden is a big event on the Men's professional tour, and this year a Women's event was held alongside. Sailing the demanding DS37s again is great experience for the upcoming World Championships.

The third stop for Women's Match Racing on the ISAF World Cup tour saw the début of the brand new Elliott 6m boats that will be used for the 2012 Olympic Games.

Delta Lloyd Olympic Classes Regatta

The Delta Lloyd OCR is only the second event in the ISAF World Sailing Cup to have included the new Women's Match Racing Olympic discipline. As the new Elliot 6m boats are still not yet available, the Ynglings were wheeled out again as used in the 2008 Olympics.

Training in Poole

As the new Elliott 6Ms are not due to arrive until later this summer, the Ynglings are back in action for the second stage of the ISAF Sailing World Cup at Medemblik in the Netherlands. In preparation we've been sailing in Poole, both ourselves and with the fellow British team of Mary Rook.

The ISAF Nations Cup is a global competition to find the world's top match racing nation. The Grand Final, sailed in J/24s and held at Porto Alegre, Brazil, is the cumulation of regional qualifying events around the world, in both Open and Women's divisions.
